The Seventh Touch Art Festival

TouchOfTouch.jpg

The first Touch Art Space in Hong Kong would be launched in the Centre for Community Cultural Development. The space would be shown out varieties artworks created by different artists as a retrospective. Through the art space, the development of touch art would be rethought. We have invited Yohei Nishimura, who promotes creating artworks with visually impaired in Japan; and Oum Jeong Soon, the founder and artistic director of Museum of Another Way of Seeing in Korea, to hold two seminars and workshops about touch art. At the same time, we established a touch art co-learning platform. Core members will come along with each other, discuss and rethink the aesthetics of touch art. Local touch artists will create artwork with other members of this platform. Hence, a systematic touch art educational material and methods could be built up, and promote the art education of disability.
